I'm feeling a little  at the moment...First I will explain my username. In February 2001, I joined LJ, but I went by sparklykittie, because that is the name I used on the 'Net at the time. Well, I felt this was no longer who I was, so I later changed my name to moonbaby52501. I remained so until drama that I did not want caused so many problems for me that I started a new journal altogether. I came up with the name selene_reborn because Selene is the Greek goddess of the moon, and in a sense, I had been 'reborn' out of all that drama. So yeah, I've had this name since way before Underworld came out. LOL. As for my other name...Anyway, I like meeting new people online; however, certain events have screwed up my trust in people, which I am struggling to regain. This is why my journal is (and has been for a year now) friends-only. Please feel free to add me to your friends list. I think I'm a pretty nice person and I'm a very loyal friend. I am a poet, although I don't feel I am a very good one. Find me on MadPoets.org. You can browse my poetry and leave comments. Thanks to my good friend Isaac for creating that site and allowing me to post my works there. I'm also trying in vain to get back to my short-short-story writing, but I'm afraid my new passion for web graphics has eclipsed that at the moment. I'm a novice, but I'm learning, so if anyone has any graphics tips, please share with me! I love sour candy, all things Harry Potter, the Lord of the Rings films (I am completely OBSESSED and have at least one LOTR moment per day!), my four cats, a nice cocktail (Cosmopolitan, please!), reading, watching DVDs, and many other things. Oh, and my friends. I love my friends more than I love myself, which often makes me super-loyal to a fault. Sometimes I fail to see the toxicity of some people's friendships, but in the last year or so I have gotten much better at gauging that. I have a rather unhealthy obsession with Viggo Mortensen that I doubt will wane any time soon. It just amazes me how creative and talented he is in so many media: poetry, acting, photography, painting, etc. Plus, he is extremely good-looking and sexy. Viggo Mortensen is the world's most perfect man... and he should be mine! :P My quirks are many, ranging from the constant use of ellipses and parentheses in my posts (*grin*) and my grammar/spelling Nazi tendencies to my obsession with Haldir and Aragorn from LOTR and my habit of using a purple/green color combo. They are part of who I am, they define me, so to love me is to love them. I am the maintainer and moderator of escapist_freaks. Join me, won't you? *grin* I truly believe in Middle-Earth, and in my mind it is a real place that did exist once upon a time. If only it existed today. *sigh* I so desperately want to run off to Rivendell and live with the Elves, my kindred spirits. I know all my days would be happy and content wandering Imladris with not a care in the world, perhaps traveling to visit alasseatinuviel in Lothlórien. *grin* If only...Yeah, so that's me.
